The service
Cala Ocre hires out recreational boats with a professional skipper for private trips from Port de Palamós. The boat is for your group only and the skipper chooses the route and stops depending on the sea conditions.
Price
- The price is per boat, not per person, and includes VAT.
- It includes the skipper, fuel for the planned route, boat and passenger insurance, snorkel masks and a swim ladder.
- Extras (paddle board, cool box with drinks, lunch on board, drone photos, towels) are chosen when booking and their price is shown before you pay.
- Rates vary by season: low (April, May and October), mid (June and September) and high (July and August). The price you see when choosing the date is the final price.
- As the boat comes with a skipper, no security deposit is required.
Booking and payment
- Your booking is confirmed when you pay a 30% deposit. The rest is paid on the day at the port. You can also pay in full when booking.
- Payment methods: card, Bizum, Apple Pay and Google Pay, through a secure payment gateway.
- You will receive a confirmation email with your booking summary and these terms.
Cancellations and changes
- If you cancel 48 hours or more in advance: we refund everything you paid.
- If you cancel less than 48 hours in advance: the deposit is not refunded.
- Date change: free of charge up to 48 hours before, subject to availability.
- If you do not show up or arrive late, the trip is not extended and there is no refund.
Weather and safety
Safety comes first. If the skipper considers it unsafe to go out (tramontana wind, swell, storm), we let you know as early as possible and you can choose another date or a full refund. If the trip has to be cut short once it has started, we refund the proportional part.
Right of withdrawal
Boat trips are leisure services for a specific date. Therefore, under article 103.l of the Spanish consumer protection law (TRLGDCU), the 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply. Instead, the cancellation policy above applies, which is more favourable to you when you cancel in advance.
Rules on board
- The boat’s maximum capacity is always respected, including children and babies.
- Minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Children under 12 wear a life jacket while sailing.
- Barefoot or white-soled shoes only. No smoking on board.
- You can bring food and drink, with no loose glass on deck. Small pets are welcome if you tell us when booking.
- Please follow the skipper’s instructions at all times. The skipper may end the trip if anyone puts safety at risk.
Liability
All boats carry the compulsory civil liability and passenger insurance. Cala Ocre is not responsible for personal belongings lost or damaged on board or for damage caused by not following the skipper’s instructions.
